Visual Arts: Progress

Blue
Hands pressing clay into the shape of a bowl

Tuesdays at 10:30am - 12:30pm

We will be making soft sculpture animals, full of character. We will be sewing the basic body form , with a wire armature inside, then adding layers of texture with sewn or glued pieces of fabric.

There's no right or wrong way to make art, and you don't need to be an artist or have professional materials to join our visual arts groups. Have a go at painting, sculpting and more in this fun and friendly group.

What's happening in the group at the moment?

Explore silk painting techniques and create something to take home with you; frame your final art, make a celebration card using your silk or even make it into a 3D wall hanging.

What is a progress group?

In this progress group you will have the opportunity to work more independently and develop ideas. Sally spends about 15 minutes starting the session, introducing the themes and way of working after which you will make your work. Sally will come back in at the end to talk to everyone about how you got on, and ways of developing if you want. There will always be two creative support workers in the room to help you.
