"An escape from the mundane" Out of the Blue 17/18 Annual Report

At Hoot’s beginnings over 15 years ago, there was little credence or understanding that the arts had much to do with good mental health and wellbeing. Nowadays it is normal and usual to find creative activity as part of many approaches to delivering wellbeing. Hoot has been a leading practitioner at the forefront of this movement, pioneering a range of innovative applications of the arts in a range of settings and helping to prove unequivocally that making art really can change lives.

The Out of the Blue & Breathing Space, Kirklees Mental Health & Creative Arts Service 2017 - 18 report highlights another fantastic year of providing high quality arts activities with professional artists alongside training, performance opportunities and multi art form events.
