HOOT on BBC Radio 3 | Music Matters

On Monday we welcomed the BBC Radio 3 programme, Music Matters to our Breathing Space session in Huddersfield to discuss music making in Huddersfield and the arrangement of music created by our groups, Breathing Space and Another Planet, for a string quartet.

Thanks to artist and group leader, Rob Crisp, the music written by the groups using graphic scores, musical games and their names was transformed into sheet music and performed at a special concert for participants by Sarah Tym and Liz Heald on violins, Megan Swinchin on viola and Christine Avis on cello.

The album is now available online via Bandcamp where you can download for free or make a donation to HOOT. https://hootsoundmove.bandcamp.com/

You can hear Music Matters on BBC Radio 3 with Sara Mohr-Pietsch on Saturday 25th November at 12:15pm or listen later here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09gfchz
