Tuesdays at 2 - 4pm
Join artist Sally Barker in looking at how textile art can bring people together and tell their stories. We will be inspired by The Red Dress project from British artist Kirstie Macleod which made a creative platform for communities around the world to tell their stories through embroidery. We will make our own textile pieces using a range of techniques to tell our own stories.
We will also visit the Kirklees Woven Festival at Oakwell Hall in Birstall where The Red Dress is on display in June.
